Application for 'Mungojerrie':
History: Mungojerrie was born in and grew up in the Junkyard, under the care of his father, Skimbleshanks, and with his sister, Rumpelteazer. From a young age, he developed a very strong bond with his sister, and spent most of his time playing with her, almost to the exclusion of some of the other kittens. As he grew older, he branched out and began to mingle with some of the others, mostly the toms, but the bond he shared with his sister remained. For a long while he was content to stay within the Junkyard and cause general trouble for many of the older cats and some of the kittens closer to his age, which he found intensely amusing and entertaining (he felt that many of the older adults lacked the sense of humor to appreciate his talents), and in which his sister often participated, earning them quite the reputation across the yard (and likely fraying more than one of their father’s nerves).
However, curious by nature and easily bored (though perhaps less distractible than his sister), he was more than happy to join Teazer when she approached him with the idea of leaving the ‘Yard as they got older. Paling around the ‘Yard itself was getting old, and it was getting harder to get away with things after he’d been pulling the same stunts for so long. He slipped out of the ‘Yard with his sister one evening before the ball, when everyone was distracted, only to have their adventure cut short when they became lost and were unable to find their way home. They did, however, find their way into a less than respectable part of town, one that Macavity happened to find just right to suit his sinister needs. The Napoleon of Crime knew of their natural talents, and appealed to their sense of curiosity and love for excitement, as well as their kittenish naïveté. He began work for Macavity alongside his sister, drawn in by the chance to explore their talents on bigger heists, and more importantly, without the watchful and judgmental eyes of those back home.
It wasn’t easy, however, to keep this fact hidden from those at home. He still tried to keep up the guise of living a normal life in the Junkyard, though the incidence of his harmless pranks around the ‘Yard itself diminished as his time was spent elsewhere on more profitable tricks. Most attributed it to rebellious behavior, or a phase he was going through, but some were more skeptical. During this time, he grew even closer, if that was possible, to Teazer, as she was the only one that shared this sort of double-life, and the only one he felt he could confide in when deceiving the others, or the task at hand, troubled him. Things became easier for a time when he moved away with his sister, adopted by the family that had taken her in on one of his visits to see her, but soon word got out about their secret allegiance. As things with Macavity got more intense, it became harder and harder to operate normally with his friends and family back at the ‘Yard, and he could not bring himself to truly hurt those he loved. He and Teazer agreed to leave Macavity’s employ and keep up their pilfering partnership for their own sake, finding it more profitable and exciting than the kittenish pranks of his younger days. He still worries from time to time, however, that they got away so easily, and wonders if Macavity may be planning something. He now lives with Teazer and his owners up by the Grove, but frequents the Junkyard often, as he considers both part of his true home.
Personality: Mungojerrie is a rather laid-back, fun-loving individual who has a big heart, despite his tendency towards less-than-admirable behavioral choices. Inclined to rather roguish behavior, both on and off the job, he knows how to appreciate a good joke or the thrill of a good chase, and enjoys even more having someone on his side to share it with. He spends much of his time with his sister, Rumpelteazer, and though they do make quite the team, he often feels he takes their work more seriously than she does, and can get irritated if he feels her behavior might give them away. He is rather protective of his younger sister, and though he is quite loyal to his entire family, his strongest loyalty is to her should something happen. She is possibly the most important thing in his world, and would do nearly anything for her. When he is not out on a job or pulling capers for fun with Teazer, Jerrie also likes to enjoy a good catnap, and enjoys having downtime as well.
Despite his time working for Macavity, Jerrie actually tends to have a very active conscience, and while he loves pilfering and trickery for its own sake (and let’s face it, it allows him to enjoy some of the finer things he would not otherwise have access to, and it’s just plain fun), he is somewhat troubled by some of Macavity’s more sinister plots, and is not particularly proud to have been a part of them. It still troubles him from time to time, though he tries his best not to show it however, preferring to keep up a rather cocky and controlled demeanor around the others to keep up his reputation. When something is really bothering him, he tends to adopt a more brooding and anti-social attitude, and can get abrasive and aggressive. The only individual he does open up to fully is Teazer.
Appearance: He can best be described as a calico-striped tabby, with orange, black, and a few white stripes covering most of his body. His face is lighter than the rest of his fur, with white around the eyes that fades into a more yellow-orange towards the mouth and sides. Though very similar in coloration to his sister, his coat tends to be darker and more orange. He is one of the larger toms, but retains a muscular and lean body type from his frequent forays about the city. Around his neck he wears a silver studded, black leather collar that was given to him by his owner.
(Pictures to come when my computer decides it wants to upload them :/.)
RP sample: Munogjerrie stalked his way through the hall towards the small area he shared with his sister, a small brown sack slung haphazardly over his shoulder, and a scowl on his usually smiling face. Water dripped from nearly every inch of his calico coat, making soft splashing sounds around his rather heavy footsteps as he walked. Just great. His first solo job in months, and he had wound up head over heels in a bird bath. How was he supposed to know that the family had a pollicle that slept by the bedroom window at night? He was only thankful his humans hadn’t seen him like this, or they might try to wash him. Shuddering slightly at the thought, he grunted, putting a paw on the door to the room, just wanting to get in and get dry again. He wasn’t quite fast enough, however, as he heard a distinctively familiar giggle from behind him as he did so. He turned around to see Teazer covering her mouth, badly trying to hide the laughing fit that was threatening to burst forth. “Oi’ shaddup,” he grumbled, and turned to go back in the room before she could say anything further. He knew he was going to be hearing about this one for a while.

(Hope it’s okay I threw Teazer into my sample post. If it isn’t, I’ll work up a new one. I tried to make their histories mesh as best I could, but let me know if there is something I should change. Also, I’m going to work on typing with a slight accent if he is accepted, if that’s ok with people. If it gets too annoying, I’ll cut it out.)
