I was wondering, (for those of you who have seen Cats live) what was your favorite performance? Mine will forever be London (granted I've only seen Cats 3 times) Probably because it was my first time seeing Cats live...and, hello, it was London!

My favorite was the one I just saw on Friday. Even though its only my second time, it got number 1 for a few good AWESOME reasons: 1- I met up with RTT and one of his friends and we talked before the show. 2- I had an isle seat and during the Overture the Tugger hopped onto my seat and was snarling in my face. 3- During the Naming of Cats Rumpleteazer walked right up to me, leaned forward and stared into my eyes as they she was singing. <3 4- SKIMBLESHANKS! Normally I cant stand Skimble if he doesnt have some sort of accent but this guy made it work without one. 5- Finally, RTT and I waited out by the stage door after the show and got to talk to some of the cast- Sarah Bumgarner (Victoria), Aubrey Elson (Sillabub) and I think the third was just a swing. That was REALLY cool for me. Sadly I got no autographs, forgot mah Sharpie They did tell us to come see em again though I dont think Ill be able to wait for it to came back around, a road trip may be in order some time in the near future...

Well, I haven't seen many live performances till now, I have to see an English one definately anytime^^ So I'm sticking to the movie version and the Production in Berlin, which are both extremely awesome! (John Patridge as Tugger in the film and Berlin as well! ;D)

I've seen Cats twice, the both times at the Lahti's City Theatre in Finland. So obviously that's my favourite... It was beyond awesome! I didn't know anything about Cats before that, I don't think I even had heard Memory. But I fell in love with the show before the intermission when I went to see it for the first time almost exactly a year ago. Too bad I hadn't gone there earlier, I got to see it only twice before they finished playing it. But still, Cats made me the musicals enthusiastic I'm today and the show in Lahti remains as my fave live musical performance, even though I've seen lots of stuff in London since.
The Finnish show was very different from the original one, though. But I think that's what made it so cool. Anyone can see the original costumes and such on the dvd, so it was really great that they'd done the costumes, sets, dancing and all so differently (and managed to improve a lot of things, I think).
There's not too much video of the production, but check out this, it's only one I could find:

The Finish production is so conceptual, I find it very interesting.

I've only seen it once live, which was 9th August 2007 (in seat E26!) and it was fantastic. Our seats were second to front, and we got a round of applause from the cast for being in costume, which was AWESOME. And because of my love of Finland and most things it entails, I absolutely love the Finnish production.

""got a round of applause from the cast for being in costume""
Lucky !!!!!
Oh I have a hard time choosing just 1
1ST the Final OCPAC show was amazing for the reason that Bomba interacted with Trai and "flirted" with me as Tugger at intermission ..
2ED would be the production at 1KOaks . Seeing "Your Work" on stage is a thrill! . I was bouncing in my seat when Misto blinked .
3RD but not last was MO With SSS.. Having a cast remember you and your friends a year after OCPAC is a Hoot!.. : note to self bring a sharpy !:
