Something's Not Right [open]

((Playing some open characters cause I'm boerd and really want to move th plot forward ;D I've got some ideas people...!!))

Asparagus Jr. was in the far corner of the Junkyard, away and unaware of the fight going on at the front. He had been feeling a bit grogery that afternoon and had woken from a nap by the sound of his father's coughing. It seems that Gus had caught something and was very ill. Asparagus had found some water in the deep leaf of a nearby plant and was trying to get him to drink it. Eventually he did and after an hour of coughing, Gus fell asleep.

With watery eyes and an unseal sleepiness, Asparagus went to the inferiority shed, in search of the Gumby or Lillie cat. Before he got there, however, he literally ran into Admetus... lying in the middle of the path, sleeping.

"Admetus! What are you doing?"

The coffee colored tom opened his eyes slightly and smiled when he saw his friend Asparagus. Asparagus noticed that Admetus's eyes were watery as well.

"Hi Asparagus...I was just yawn taking a nap."

"In the middle of the yard??"

"I could't yawn wait to find a better place. I'm just so bloody yawn tired for some reason."

"Come on, you better come with me."

Asparagus Jr. helped his friend up and the two of them headed in the direction of the shed. Still too far from the entrance to see or hear Macavity.

[Pandora]

Victoria was not in the best of moods, she was tired, exhausted even, but couldn't get to sleep. Why was she tired? Only because her owner locked the damn cat flap before Victoria could get in! The nerve of it!
With a look of sheer thunder on her face, she waltzed over to the two toms whom she had been watching silently.
"You guys are tired too?" she murmured, rubbing sleep from her glass eyes.

Coricopat scowled and slowly wandered over to the three cats talking. He had been planning on going to Tantomile, but he felt so lethargic right now that he didn't know how much longer he would be able to even stand. He yawned widely before settling down on the ground. He rubbed his watering eyes with a vengeance. "What is going on with you three?" he muttered. He was in a strangely bad mood, probably from the sleepiness he was feeling. He finally noticed that their faces were all the same. "Are you all as tired as you look or is it just me?" he asked with a yawn.

Asparagus Jr. looked from Victoria to Coricopat. That was when he knew something was seriously amiss. He tightened his grip on the sleepy Admetus and took on a serous tone.
"My father, Gus, is ill. I fear Admetus is coming down with the same thing. And by the look of us three, we probably have the starting symptoms of whatever it is. I was on my way to the inferiority shed, to find Jenny or Jelly. You two should probably come with me."
He looked concerned at the two, hoping they would agree. Also hoping Coricopat would help him carry Admetus.

[Pandora]

Victoria tilted her head to the side, "Illness?" she asked, her eyebrows knitted in concern.
"Is he okay? And are we okay?" she started to get anxious and wanted to know more. If she did have this... illness, how did she catch it? She didn't usually hang around Gus and was wondering how the disease got to her. Oh god, maybe it was spreading!?

Coricopat yawned again before Asparagus' words hit him. "Wait, what?" he asked with a rare look of confusion on his face. "Your father is sick, too? Hmmm... You seem to be right. We are all acting really strange," he started talking to himself now. "It is usually the older cats that catch sicknesses first, too," Coricopat looked up and saw Admetus for the first time and he frowned thoughtfully. He turned to face Asparagus. "Okay, I'll come with you," he looked at Admetus with an expression of concern on his face. "Do you need some help with Admetus? I could help you carry him," he offered.

"Thanks Corie." Asparagus smiled grimly in thanks.
He hosted Admetus' sleeping body up to his shoulder and Coriocopat's.
The four felines walked to the shed. There they found Jennyanydots and Jellylorum huddled around a figure.
Once inside, Asparagus put Admetus down and ran up to the Gumby and Lilli cat.
"Who's that? What's going on."
Jennyanydots looked up at the Jellicles who had just entered the shed. Her eyes were wet with tears.
Jellylorum looked up with anger in her eyes.
"There is a lot going on right now." Jellylorum said bluntly and with a frustrated anger.

Coricopat looked to make sure Admetus would be all right before running over to Jenny and Jelly. "Who is that?" he asked apprehensively. His eyes were getting even more watery and he was having a hard time staying standing, but Coricopat worried that if he sat down he wouldn't be able to get up. He let out a large yawn and rubbed his eyes. Just a few minutes... he thought and was about to just lay down on the ground when something else entered his mind. [No Coricopat! Don't fall asleep!] His eyes shot open. {Tanto? Where are you?} he tried to think this clearly, but his thoughts were becoming more and more fuzzy.

[ENTER TANTOMILE]

Tantomile burst into the shed ran up to Coricopat. She stared at him frantically. [Do not fall asleep, Cori. It would be very bad.] she was beginning to be worried about the trouble she was having entering into his mind. [What happened to you?] Tantomile thought she might know, however. Macavity's "present." Tantomile hissed before turning to the rest of the cats. Now that she took a look at them, they all looked the same way. This isn't good. "Macavity just visited," she explained.

[ENTER RUMPLETEAZER]

Rumpleteazer ran in, panting. She stood there for a few minutes getting her breath before she was able to speak. "Macavity... Jemima... Hurt real bad... Munkustrap's coming..." she gasped out. Running fast for a long time wasn't her strong suit. She finally noticed how many other cats were in the room and how most of them weren't looking very well. Even Coricopat, which was really bad because that meant Tantomile was going to be a wreck. She finally was able to breathe normally and finished her sentence. "Macavity also apparantly left us with a "present"... And I think I know what it was," Rumpleteazer could tell from Tantomile's face that she had come to that same conclusion.

Jellylorum's look got even angrier when she saw that even more cats were finding their way into the shed. Jennyanydots touched her shoulder and gave her a look of concern. That's when Jelly saw that these cats all showed various symptoms of what was plaguing the cats already in the infirmary. Her look softened and she moved away to reveal Cassandra, curled up in a small ball and very thin. Thinner than normal. She was coughing in her sleep and looked worse than even Gus, Asparagus Jr. thought. Jenny and Jelly stood at attention when Rumpelteazer ran into the shed with horrid news about the youngest member of the tribe.

"Oh my, but Munkustrap's bringing her?" Jennyanydots responded worried to Teazer's news.

"Well, it looks like there's more than the virus to deal with today." Jellylorum said as she started to set a place in the blankets for her.

"Virus??" Asparagus Jr. asked astonished as he made sure Admetus was comfortable.

"We don't know for sure, but it's spreading fast." Jelly answered.

"Some are just sleepy, others have a cough...and others..." Jenny looked at Cassandra. "Well others lose their appetites."

The Gumby and Lillie cats got to work on making sure Admetus was able to drink water and checked his temperature with their busy paws. Asparagus Jr. sat down out of the way and looked at poor Cassandra. She was worse off than his father. What was he going to do about his father? What was going to happen to all of them. So many thoughts ran through Asparagus' head. It was overwhelming. He decided to close his eyes for...just...one...second....

Munkustrap strode into the shed, Jemima held firmly in his arms. He kept his cool attitude as he entered, not wanting to let the other tribe members see any signs of his distress. However, keeping the emotion off his face was difficult when he saw how many other cats were already being cared for. So Macavity had done something after all. Of course. His anger towards the ginger tom rose, but he did his best to squelch it. Noticing a spot, close to where Asparagus appeared to be napping, the silver tabby laid the small kitten down there.

Standing up straight again, Munkustrap turned to Jellylorum. "Is there anything I can do to help?" He figured he might as well ask. There was no way that the two healing cats could take care of everybody who was already here. For a second, his mind flashed to Demeter, and he hoped she wouldn't be affected by whatever was happening here. But, no, he needed to keep his mind on the situation at hand.

Jennyanydots rushed over to Jemima and began examining her. Jelly looked at Munkustrap gravely.

"The most you can do at this point is warn the others. Something bad is passing through the yard."

Jennyanydots came over after a few minutes.
"Jemima's scratched up and knocked out, but she'll be fine. We won't know if she has any symptoms of the virus till she wakes up."

"If she wakes up." Jellylorum said looking at the poor kitten.
