Hello and welcome to Endless Masquerading's messageboard. Thank you for taking the time to read these rules and guidelines.
Seeing as this is a new forum these rules are under construction and still being added to. Keep that in mind and as long as you mind your manners you should be fine.
How to Use the Board
Do search for existing threads on your issue before starting a new thread. Having multiple threads about the same exact thing can get confusing and annoying.
Do stay on topic. There are non-cats related threads if you must talk about something else. Also, you can always PM a member if you want to continue an off topic conversation.
Do keep your signatures small.
There is no actual limit at this point but if your siggy is always over twice the length of your post, there might be a problem.
Do not necropost. Necroposting means replying to a dead thread. A thread that is dead is one that is about 6-8 weeks old or is on the second page of a forum. You can usealy tell when a thread is done, ie. the question has been anwsered, etc.
Exceptions to this rule are if you started the thread. Especially if it is a 'progress' thread or a 'bio' thread. Another exception is if the thread is stickied, those threads are meant to be ongoing.
How to Interact with Each Other
Do treat each other with respect, please be mature here.
Do keep posts suitable for younger viewers. This especially refers to pictures and art. You must not post pictures or thumbnails that are over a PG-13 rating (this means slash as well). Use a link and a warning for those! This rule goes for fiction as well, a link and rating are required!
Do use proper grammar and spelling. "OMG i luv cats soooo mch!!! 4 reelz!!!1 " will be ignored if not deleted.
Do not attack fellow members on the forums, including staff.
Do not engage in excessive bumping. Bump once, if necessary. Do not bump excessively to prove a point or call out to fellow members. It's disrespectful.
Do not resort to profanity, name calling, or air personal grievances with fellow members or belittle one another.
Do not post material that is racially or culturally biased
How to Interact with Mods and Staff
Moderators are your friends. If a Moderator contacts you directly to ask that you tone down your posts, or adjust your usage of the forums, heed their advice. If you do not heed their advice, you are violating the terms of service which may result in account termination.
Moderators reserve the right to remove inappropriate content from the forums.
Spamming is not tolerated.
Do not report abuse on the boards, if you see something spammy or abusive and it is not being taken care of feel free to PM a mod or staff member.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I hope you enjoy your stay here at the Endless Masquerading messageboard!
