He strolled up to the main entrance of the junkyard, unafraid and without any caution. His red and orange fur sticking straight out from his body. He smiled a wide and almost charming smile and spoke to no one, since it was raining and no cat was out.
"Jellicles, Jellicles, come out and play..."
He strolled to the center of the yard's clearing and took a fighting stance. Puck was off spreading the contents of the vile in every corner of the yard. In order to let him work unnoticed, Macavity was willing and ready to stir up some disturbances.

Munkustrap didn't hesitate to dart out from under the drawer he had previously been under with Mistoffelees as soon as he heard that echoing voice call out. As unpleasant as Macavity was, Munkustrap couldn't help but feel a tiny bit relieved. Now he would no longer have to worry about what was coming, or the fact that he hadn't been able to sense anything coming. The rain poured down on them, but the silver tom hardly took any notice.
"What are you doing here, Macavity?" he snarled lowly, his body instinctively taking a protective stance. Thoughts of the other Jellicles were flashing through Munkustrap's mind like lightning, and his adrenaline was building up. No matter what it took, he was determined to keep the yard, and the Jellicles within it, safe from the monster who stood before him.

Rumpleteazer slid out of the car just in time to see Munkustrap run out from under a drawer. He stood in front of Macavity in a stance that he must have hoped would keep him away. Teazer shivered, and it wasn’t just because of the rain that was now pouring all over her. Seeing Macavity again was making some of her more unpleasant memories try and come to the surface. She pushed against them, hoping they would stay under, but they kept coming back up. She whimpered and put her head in her paws.
Tantomile followed suit after Rumple and almost crashed into her because of her abrupt stop. Tanto followed Teazer’s viewpoint and hissed quietly. How dare he come into the Junkyard! That was taking it personal! “Why would he come all this way just to taunt us?” she whispered, half to herself, half to Rumple. She turned to Teazer to see her in that position. “Rumpleteazer? Snap out of it!” she ordered quietly. She quickly waved her hand in front of Teazer’s face for a few seconds, trying to get her to "wake up."

For a split second, Misto was tempted to try to stop Munkustrap from rushing forward so quickly. Perhaps they shouldn't reveal themselves so soon. But as Munkustrap flew by him, clearly angry, he knew better than to try. This was their Junkyard after all, and he had never known Munkus to back down from a challenge, particularly not one concerning his family and friends. Ignoring the rain, Mistoffelees followed after him, standing behind Munkustrap just to the side of the others that were slowly emerging to see what was going on. He'd let Munkustrap deal with it the way he wanted to, but he was ready, just in case, to jump in and do what he could should the need arise. He threw a sidewards glance at the occupants emerging from the car, feeling a pang of sympathy for Teazer at seeing her pained expression. Macavity hadn't been here two minutes and already he was causing harm to others. He turned his attention back to Munkustrap and the mystery cat, watching the exchange intently, alert for anything that might come up suddenly.
Mungojerrie followed Rumpleteazer out of the car, shaking his head against the rain as he joined the others. What a miserable day, and now made infinitely worse by the arrival of the menacing mystery cat. He felt his heart sink a little as Teazer whimpered and he came up behind her, putting his paws on her shoulders, rubbing them lightly and trying to comfort her. "Don' worry Teaz, 'e won't 'urt yew. Oi won't let 'im." He glared at Macavity from where he was standing. He, too, had his own dammed up flood of unpleasant memories to contend with, and moreso than that the angry feelings Macavity's presence was stirring within him. He was able to keep them in check for now, however, if barely, if only for Teazer's sake if nothing else. He had to be stronger for her, and Fell if he was going to let Macavity hurt her again.

Macavity grinned an almost sadistic grin as the Jellicles came out to face him. He winked at the very upset Rumpelteazer, a wink that was meant to hurt. He laughed after he did it and looked Mungojerry right in the eyes, daring him to do anything about it. Then he slowly turned his neck to Munkustrap. He cocked his head and said in a voice that mocked innocence. "Why Munkustrap, I'm standing here in the rain. Can't you see that's what I'm doing here." He smiled as honest as he could muster and stood there with paws open wide to show he was not in a fighting stance at all.

A low growl threatened to rise in Munkustrap's throat, but he managed to keep it under control. Clearly Macavity was playing some kind of game, and he couldn't let his emotions get the better of him; if he did, he was bound to miss something important. Although the other tom wasn't in a fighting stance, he didn't trust him. Because of that, Munkustrap didn't change his own position, oblivious to the other Jellicles who had begun to gather.
"If that's all you're doing, why don't you go stand in the rain somewhere else?" He knew it was a dumb question, but what else was he supposed to do? Munkustrap always felt like he had to play along with the games until he knew what Macavity was really up to, and if that's what it took to figure out what was going on, he was willing to do it.

A small sob escaped through Rumple's lips after Macavity winked. She knew that that was the point and that he was trying to scare her, but she couldn't help it. It was scary. She felt Mungo rubbing her, and she relaxed slightly. It was very comforting to know that her older brother was beside her, ready to protect her if necessary. "Thanks, Jer," she whispered shakily and turned away from Macavity to look at Jerrie instead. "But wot eef 'e 'urts yew?"
Tantomile snarled quietly and stood halfway in front of Rumpleteazer to block her view. One part of her mind briefly worried about what Mungo would do, but that part was soon blocked out from watching Rumple and Jerrie interact. Tantomile felt a small pang of envy and wished her brother was here. She didn't need comforting like Teazer, but Coricopat was her other half. She wasn't complete without him.

Jerrie growled audibly as Macavity shot Teazer a wink, seeing plainly how much it disturbed her. Why that sleazy, no good, sorry excuse for a....He returned Macavity's glare, and had started to move forward, his body tensing. But he stopped as Teazer turned to him and Munkustrap spoke up. He couldn't leave her side right now, that was clear, and doing anything physical before Munkustrap acted was bound to cause trouble for all of them, despite the knot that was growing in his stomach. He hated standing there and feeling like he could do nothing, though every fiber of his being wanted to run right over and throttle the evil tom. What was worse was that Macavity knew that, and was taunting him for it.
He reigned himself back in, relaxing his grip on Teazer's shoulders slightly as she turned to him, his expression softening as he saw the expression on her own face. "Don' yew worry about tha'." He said softly, glancing heatedly back in Macavity's direction again before lowering his gaze back to Teazer. He was more concerned for her than he was for himself right now. Let Macavity just try it, he thought to himself. He'd learned how to put up a good fight in his day, and he'd do just that, no matter what Macavity might have up his sleeve.

It was at this moment a sleepy little kitten awoke from her nap. The rain was still falling heavily outside of the oven but she thought she heard voices. She peered out of the oven window and saw Munkustrap looking quite angry. After following his gaze she saw hi...Macavity. What was he doing here? She was instantly frightened and not sure what to do. Panicked, she decided that she'd be safer on Munku's side rather than in between.
Jemima scampered out of the oven as fast as her paws would let her and hid behind Munkustrap's right hind leg. To her surprise, Macavity did not move or even notice her really. His intently evil eyes were locked on the Protector and his grin spoke of a secret. In a short spout of bravery, Jemima hissed openly at Mac. Again, his eyes never left Munku's.
Macavity had noticed Jemima leave the oven to hide behind Munkustrap. He ignored her easily. She was such a disappointment he could not even acknowledge her existence at the moment.
Faster than the others could react, Macavity ran up to face Munkustrap. He lifted his paw in an attempted to swipe his face.
((Does he block it?? Does he get scratched??))

((Hope everyone wants to see me back ... )) Electra had strolled through the junk heaps, searching for any enjoyment and completely unaware of the happenings near to the entrance. The dark tabby tugged playfully and giggling at a ripped off rope until she heard the angsty voices of some Jellicles. Frowning Electra wringled her nose and peered down to the clearing - just to pull her head with the black and orangish ears back like a flash! Macavity! What now? She didn't want to hide here anxious while her friends were in danger but otherwise - what else could she do? The young striped queen bit her jaws together to supress a sobb while she hid between the junk. May she would get an opportunity to ambush him unaware ... ~~~ Just getting his scent and listening to his voice made nightmares lively again; Demeter, lured by Munkustraps growl and her damned curiousity, ran over to the gathered Jellicles with attentive upstraight ears - they fell immediately at Macavity's presence. What he had done to their leader. What he had done to her beloved mate! With widened eyes the female gave the ginger tabby a screeching hiss: "Beat it! You shouldn't be here!" Demeter claimed to herself that she succeded in letting her voice sound clear and confident and not scared. Indeed, she got hatred in her heart more than fear and managed to unsheath her claws, taking another step towards the Napoleon of Crime.

Munkustrap's stress started to rise as he became aware of the others around him. He wished they would all leave; he didn't want them to see this, especially not the kittens. It was nice, he would admit, to have Mistoffelees there as back up. More than anything, he wished Alonzo would come though. No other cat could make him feel as safe in a fight as Alonzo could.
These thoughts were pushed from the tall tabby's mind as Jemima came out to hide behind his leg. His body moved instinctively to further hide her, as he also tried to push her further away, hoping she would go somewhere else. Munkustrap's green eyes still hadn't left Macavity's. However, hearing Jemima's hiss broke his concentration as he tried once more to nudge her to leave with his leg. This was his fight; he could handle it.
That split second of distraction was apparently all Macavity needed, though. Munkustrap focused again, just in time to see the ginger toms paw coming for his face. There was barely enough time to pull back, and his face received light scratches because of it. With a growl, the tabby swiped out at Macavity as a reflex, hearing Demeter yell at the same time. All of a sudden, the fight became even more important to Munkustrap, and he glanced over his shoulder to see Demeter. He attempted to tell her with his eyes to stand back, to not get involved, but he quickly had to return his attention to the tom in front of him, not wanting to miss a critical blow.

Jemima ran back into the junk when Macavity scratched Munkustrap. She did not want to get into the crossfire, despite how badly she wanted to hit the horrible tom herself. She knew better, she always knew better.
As she ran behind her, she ran right into Electra who was hiding there as well. She crouched down beside her, sharing the shelter.
"Everlasting I hate him so much!"
~~~
Munkustrap's blow hit Macavity's ears, making him, for a split second, recoil in pain. His smile faded as he rammed Munkustrap in the belly with his head. Then, before Munkustrap could re-act he ran away from the heart of the yard, to the far edge.
"Come and get me, Strapy!"
~~~
Exotica was watching from behind a few pieces of fabric. She was not sure what to do but knew there was more to the fight than just a fight. She ran along the side of the yard, behind the old bed frame. There she waited till help might be needed.

Rumpleteazer pulled herself back to the present in time to see the beginning of a fight start to unfurl. That wasn't good. Munkustrap would need help, but Alonzo wasn't around. He was probably the second-best fighter. Teazer backed even farther away. Too many cats were coming out now! Munkustrap needed less distraction, not more of it. "We should give them some room," she whispered.
Tantomile peered around at all the cats showing up. Munkustrap probably would like it if they were all gone. He was already worried enough as it was fighting Macavity and all. Worrying about the tribe wouldn't help him at all. Tantomile nodded and wondered how they could get everyone to a safe place where Munkustrap wouldn't have to worry about them.

As he felt Jemima move away from him, the tom's mind became more focused on the fight. Suddenly, Macavity's head was in his stomach, and Munkustrap was doubled over. "Damn it," he muttered under his breath, quiet enough that he was sure none of the tribe could hear his frustration. How had he not seen that coming? Clearly, his mind wasn't focused on the fight yet; he was still concerned about the tribe. For a second, he rubbed his stomach, glaring across the junkyard.
With a breath, Munkustrap straightened his posture, not keen to play these games. He did his best to push the tribe out of his mind. He watched Macavity run across the junkyard, and growled again. Munkustrap hated to be called "Strapy" and hearing it from Macavity made him even more livid. The silver tom knew better than to go chasing after the ginger one. That would just be doing exactly what he wanted. Instead, he stood, tall and proud, in the center of the junkyard, not saying a word. Macavity was the one here to fight, and no matter how angry he was, he wasn't going to mindlessly cause more trouble. If there was going to be a fight, Macavity would have to be the one to come to him.

((Abandoning my color idea...I think you all get that I'm three different characters in this thread...Also, sorry for the melodramatic turn I have taken this...drastic things need to happen for conflict...and conflict is story... )) Jemima, seeing what Macavity had done to Munkustrap was beyond frustration and pure hatred. It was true, she was a wise kitten. She had been born with a rare connection to Everlasting, which showed most recently at the previous ball during the Moments of Happiness. However, this connection was more than she could fully understand at such a young age, and it made her a bit skitifrenice at times. Her eyes glazed over and she glanced at Electra, looking at her and past her at the same time. "Fight fire with fire." she said as if it was an important chant. "A bloodline is best destroyed from within." Suddenly her composure changed and she glared at Macavity. Without warning she raced across the side of the yard and turned to kick Macavity's side with her small hind legs. ~~~ Macavity only faltered slightly at the kitten's kick. He grabbed her by her scruff, taking no care to be gentle and rammed her against the ground. Not enough to kill her but enough to knock her out cold. "Will you play now Strapy? Or should I kill her?" He looked at Munkustrap as if he were asking what he preferred for dinner. As he waited for a response he took special care to not look at the little thing in his paw, just to hold the unconscious body away from him. ~~ Exotica saw the whole thing happen and was about to run over to try and attack Macavity, when she realized that he probably was not aware of her presence. She decided to wait for Munkustrap's response. The goal now was getting Jemima back, and taking care no other cats would get into trouble.
